The Lake Wedowee Property Owners Association (LWPOA) is a non-profit organization of stakeholders of Lake Wedowee. Our motto, “Protecting Your Playground”, describes our role in safeguarding and improving the quality of the lake environment and the interest of property owners. Owners and lessees of property touching on the lake or the rivers and creeks in its drainage area or properties with access to the lake through community launch facilities are eligible for membership in the LWPOA.
Tanner/East Alabama is a 20,000-square-foot, two-story medical office building located at 1030 South Main Street (Highway 431) in Wedowee. It also is the new home for Tanner Primary Care of Wedowee, formerly the Wedowee Clinic. A multi-phase build-out constructed on more than 15 acres of property just south of downtown Wedowee, the facility will allow Tanner to continue developing more resources on the property, which is central to the residents of Randolph County and easily accessible by the residents of Cleburne County.
Randolph County School System is comprised of six schools with a total enrollment of approximately 2,300 students, and is located in Randolph County in north central Alabama on the eastern border.
